HELEN HERBERT
Professional actress working in theater, film and voiceover.
AEA / SAG-AFTRA
I'm an actor and filmmaker based in Brooklyn and recent graduate of the Actors Studio Drama School with my MFA in Acting. Recent credits include Lynn in Spite by Tariq Hamami, directed by Saki Kawamura and Pam in Leave it to Pam by Stephanie Kalogriopoulos, directed by Makenna Masenheimer, both at Actors Studio Drama School. On the microphone, I'm the host voice of the NY Philharmonic's streaming Project 19 Concert and I tapped into my inner child to play the Girl in the award wining short animated film Kris the Cat, directed by Aimee Todoroff.
My first documentary short film, Ninety-Two and A Quarter which highlights the life of nonagenarian Sarah Hackett, was featured at the Hamptons Doc Fest and Legacy Film Festival on Aging. My first narrative short First Line of Defense, which I also act in, is due out later this year. Whether onstage or on-camera, I enjoy developing complex, flawed characters and search for the heart and humor in all stories.
